The memorial commemorates the Royal Australian Air Force (R.A.A.F.) Wagga Apprentices and Junior Equipment and Administrative Trainees who died in service or subsequently. The memorial was erected on the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the Apprenticeship Scheme.
