Pond of RemembrancePrint Page Print this page

The Pond of Remembrance is dedicated to the members of the Australian Federal Police who have been killed in the line of duty or died as a result of their duties.

AFP Commissioner Reece Kershaw officially opened the Pool of Remembrance today at the AFP College on the anniversary of the death of Peace Officer 1st Class Frederick James Bannear – first AFP officer killed in the line of duty.

The memorial honours AFP officers who have died in the line of duty or as a result of their duties. It is also a place to reflect and remember those who have died in-service. We honour and recognised those officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while working to protect their country and their community.
