Pearlers Memorial ScreenPrint Page 
A carved stained timber screen in a Gothic style commemorates the pearlers who lost their lives in the April and December 1908 cyclones.
In April 1908 forty-four luggers were destroyed and fifty lives lost, and nine months later a cyclone destroyed another four vessels and fifty lives.
