The plaque commemorates the crew who were killed during the wrecking of the "Star of Greece" in 1888.

It was unveiled on the centenary of the shipwreck.

Star of Greece

This plaque is dedicated to the memory of the crew that lost their lives during the wrecking of the three-masted iron sailing ship Star of Greece during a violent storm of 13 July 1888.

The shipwreck is located a kilometre north of this point.
