The plaque commemorates cricketer Arthur Morris (1922-2015).

In the years following World War Two, Arthur Morris was the worlds leading opening batsman and is still ranked amongst Australia's finest. A player of the highest quality, he scored heavily with ease and style, once making a century before lunch at the SCG. He was an SCG Trustee for 22 years, including nine as deputy chairman.
