The plaque commemorates the centenary of Rugby League and also the club`s record breaking run in the 1960`s.
Rugby League was first played in Eugowra in the years following World War One. The town won five consecutive Group 11 premierships (1963 to 1967), a record for the Group. Two players were selected to represent Australia while playing for Eugowra: hooker Ian Walsh (1959 to 1961) and second-rower Barry Beath (1965).
