The Memorial Wall is built from stone that was part of the Memorial Wall and Gate of the former Methodist Church in Forest Road Peakhurst originally constructed in about 1850 - 60. The stone was brought to Lugarno for the Wall to mark the uniting of the Peakhurst Methodist Church and the Lugarno Memorial Church on 7 November 1976.
Three plaques or tablets from the original churchgate record the names of the Peake family, famous early setters in this local area.
