The sculpture of Christ Accepting His Cross commemorates the centenary of All Saints Anglican Church.
All Saints Anglican Church in Wickham Terrace, Brisbane is the oldest Anglican Church in the City of Brisbane, first founded in 1862. The existing structure dates from 1869. For most of its history, it has been identified with the High Church or Anglo-Catholic tradition within Anglicanism.

This sculpture was erected in the year 1962 to commemorate the Centenary of the Church of England on Windmill Hill, later All Saints, and was unveiled on the 8. 9. 62 by the Bishop Coadjutor of Brisbane, the Rt. Rev. W. J. Hudson.
