The plaque commemorates the 100 year commemoration of the former Keith Congregational Church building from 1910 to 2010. The foundation stone of the former church was laid by Sir Lancelot Stirling on the 4th May 1910. 

The building was a place of worship for 77 years and was purchased by the Keith Branch of the National Trust.
