The foundation stone of the church porch commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Methodist Church from 1879 to 1949.
On the day after her 90th birthday (on August 26 last) Mrs. Stacey of Yankalilla, laid the foundation stone of the Memorial Porch at the Yankalilla Methodist Church, honoring the memory of fallen soldiers of both world wars, and also pioneers of the Church. Mrs. Stacey's mother it was who laid the foundation stone of the Church itself seventy years ago.
