Hastings River Aborigines MemorialPrint Page 
The monument commemorates the aborigines of the Hastings River and quotes a line from the poem "The Last of His Tribe" by Henry Kendall. The monument was was initiated by Bruce John De Horn Christy with the help of Wauchope Historical Society members.
The Gadang Aboriginal people originally inhabited Wauchope for thousands of years prior to the arrival of Europeans.
