Shire of York Acknowledgement to CountryPrint Page Print this page

The signage on the entrance door to the office and library acknowledge the Ballardong People of the Noongar Nation as the traditional owners of the land in the area and pays respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. The entrance door features Western Australian wildflowers.

This year's NAIDOC WEEK event hosted by the Shire of York. I delivered the Welcome to Country and unveiled the new Acknowledgement to Country signage on the local councils front reception door. It was a great day that was put on to commemorate our elders.
