The cairn commemorates the 80th anniversary of Immanuel College, which was founded by Pastor G. F. Leidig in February 1895.  The college closed in December 1922 and was re-opened in North Adelaide in February 1923.

This stone was unveiled by Mr H. Albert Doecke on 2nd March 1975 to mark the  80th Anniversary of Immanuel College

Plaque :

Immanuel College 

Founded by Pastor G. F. Leidig.

First building erected on this site, and opened February, 1895.  

The College at Point Pass closed December, 1922, and re-opened at North Adelaide February, 1923.
