A plaque commemorates the 8th Australian Scout Jamboree held in 1967-1968.
In 1965 the Queensland Branch of The Scout Association of Australia accepted the invitation to host the 1967/68 Jamboree. 200 hectares of bushland at Jindalee was chosen to accommodate the event. More than 15,300 scouts from 19 Asian and Pacific countries as well as all Australian states and territories participated in the Jamboree.
