Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Centenary of Wanneroo Agricultural SocietyPrint Page

The plaque commemorating the Wanneroo Agricutural Society Centenary depicts an early showground scene framed by agricultural implements and machinery. The plaque is a permanent part of the limestone wall, which bears several bronze plaques tracing Wanneroo’s history from its early days to now.
The first Wanneroo show was officially opened by John Forrest on the 21st April 1909. The Wanneroo Agricultural Society, the organizing body for the show has been active since 1909 and was initially created in order to assist in developing the small community of agricultural growers.
