Plaque commemorates the joint achievements of Australians of Indian Sub-Continental heritage represented by "The Deepavali Festival Committee of New South Wales", the Parliament and Government of New South Wales, in promoting community harmony and mutual respect. The people from the Indian subcontinent have made a clear impact on our society and contributed a lot to the shared Australian values.
