Centenary of the Rose Society of South AustraliaPrint Page
The roses commemorate the centenary of the Rose Society of South Australia from 1908 to 2008.
The formation of this society will take place as advertised next Thursday evening. Enthusiastic growers will no doubt rejoice at being able every month to compete and enjoy the beauty of the queen of flowers. Classes will be given for professionals, amateurs, and novices, and the small grower will be encouraced. The subscription will be a nominal one. The kindred societies of Victoria and New South Wales have proved successful, and in England the National Rose Society's show is the event of the year among floriculturists.
