The Wall of Global Friendships Print Page
The Wall of Global Friendships is a celebration of the City of Casey’s cultural diversity and features a collection of inscribed plaques from local community groups that are committed to promoting mutual respect, friendship and goodwill.
Located at the Balla Balla Community Centre in Cranbourne East, the wall had 23 community plaques after they celebrated their ten year anniversary in 2018. Each plaque bears a message of friendship and goodwill. It's a symbol of a vibrant and diverse city.
Note: The recent sale of land in 2022 to the Victorian Health Building Authority for the new Cranbourne Community Hospital has meant that the current physical Wall of Global Friendship has been removed to make way for the construction of the hospital. The City of Casey has invited residents to share how they would like to reimagine the Wall of Global Friendships in the future. The consultation for the Wall of Frienship project closed on 9 December 2022.
