Rowe Street Pedestrian Precinct

"This is the site of old Rowe Street, a busy narrow thoroughfare with small shops that pioneered design, fashion and the arts in Sydney until the early 1970`s.  The street was named after 19th century Sydney architect, Thomas Rowe.  It was part of the original land grant to Joseph Wyatt of 1836." -  Rowe Street History Group
