`LEST WE FORGET`
In 1946 the
2/23 Australian Infantry Battalion Association
(Albury`s Own),
adopted the children`s ward of the
Albury Base Hospital
as a memorial ward to honour those Z
who made the supreme sacrifice.
Since then, the Association has raised
many thousands of dollars.
In appreciation of their efforts,
this memorial plaque was unveiled
on 30 November 1999 by
Lynda Summers BA., Grad Dip Pub Admin., GAIC, D.
Acting Chairperson,
Greater Murray Area Health Service Board.
