Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Gunning Show CentenaryPrint Page
The park shelter was built in February 2001 to commemorate the Centenary Show.
Gunning Show. After a lapse of some years the Gunning residents have again established an agricultural society, and the first show under this new body will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 27 and 28. Everything gives promise of a most successful gathering. A comprehensive schedule has been arranged, and a large entry is expected. We would remind intending exhibitors that the entries finally close with the secretary, Mr. D. J. Wheetley, at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 20th February. A lengthy special prize list appears in this issue, and it will be seen by the advertisement that the time for entry for these events has been extended.
