Shire of Landsborough Roll of HonourPrint Page

05-September-2014
Photographs supplied by Russell Byers / John Huth
The honour roll commemorates those from the Shire of Landsborough who served in World War Two.
In the Council's budget of 1951, £200 had been provided for an honour board to commemorate the services of the Second World War and fresh tenders were invited. A suggestion was made in lieu of the honour board a memorial tablet should be erected in memory of those who served and sacrificed and be placed on the front of the Council's offices.
Nambour Chronicle and North Coast Advertiser, 24th August 1951.
