CENEF World War Two MemorialPrint Page
The polished brass plaque commemorates the men and women who served in the King`s Forces during World War Two and those who served in the name of the church. The plaque has an enamel badge of the CENEF at the top and is attached to a side wall of the Cathedral.
The CENEF was the Church of England National Emergency Fund which conducted a number of facilities and services, including recreation huts at St Andrew's Cathedral, for service personnel during and shortly after World War Two.
