ON THIS SITE DURING 1940 - 1942 THE FOLLOWING "BATHURST CLASS" CORVETTES WERE BUILT BY AUSTRALIAN WORKMEN IN THE SHIPYARDS OF MORT`S DOCK AND ENGINEERING COMPANY LTD.

Dedicated on 19 October 1990 by the ex-crew members of the Corvettes in recognition of the ship's proud contribution to the nation's war effort from 1941 to 1946 and in appreciation of the shipyard and men who provided these fine ships.
