War Memorial OrganPrint Page
An organ commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two.
The organ now in St Aidan's Chapel of The Toowoomba Anglican School (formerly known as the Toowoomba Preparatory School), was installed as a war memorial and first located in the old school chapel in the former residence 'Stoneleigh', which has since been demolished. It was re-located to the school's assembly hall in 1987, and then to the new St Alban's Chapel when it was opened in 1998.
The War Memorial Organ was dedicated by the Archbishop of Brisbane, The Most Reverend R.C. Halse on the 27th November 1949.
