The wooden honour commemorates Custom House employees who served in World War Two.
The Honour Board at the Brisbane Customs House was unveiled on the 19th December 1951 by the Minister for Trade and Customs, Senator O'Sullivan. The roll bears the names of five Customs men who died in the war and 43 others from Queensland and the Northern Territory who served in the war. The cost of the board was paid by Customs members.
