Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm and British Pacific Fleet

The plaque commemorates the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm who served at H.M.S. Nabsford Archerfield and the 100000 who served in the British Pacific Fleet of World War Two.
In February 1945, the Royal Navy moved its Transportable Aircraft Maintenance Yard No.1, known as TAMY 1, to Archerfield. The Royal Navy base was known as H.M.S. Nabsford.
