Source: MA,RVWMThis plaque commemorates the service on the Darwin area of No. 12 Squadron RAAF
Formed at Laverton Vicotria on February 1939. It moved to Darwin in July 1939 and was the first Squadron permanently based in the Northern Territory. It operated from Darwin until October 1943 and then moved to New Guinea.
This plaque honours the memory of all those who served in the Squadron and those who made the supreme sacrifice.
