North Motton Methodist Church War MemorialPrint Page
The marble plaque from the memorial gates and fence of the now demolished North Motton Methodist Church commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two.
The trustees of the Methodist Church are erecting a concrete fence in front of the church. They are also putting down 45 yards of concrete in front of the church. With the aid of the womens guild they are putting a new carpet in the church. An honor roll will be placed in the Sunday school, and a marble plaque, in honor of three local boys who were killed during the war, will be inserted in the fence. The plaque will be unveiled at a special ceremony on Sunday, September 3, by the president of the Ulverstone Branch of the R.S.L. (Mr. G. L. Langmaid).
Advocate (Burnie, Tas.), 19 August 1950.
