Steppes District Honour RollPrint Page
The wooden honour roll commemorates those who served in World War Two. It list the names of 10 service personnel and is in memory of Private Maxwell Daniels who died of wounds at Buna.
The honour roll was formerly in the Steppes Hall and was first re-located to the National Parks centre at Liawenee before moving to its current location to prevent it from being damaged.
A large crowd attended a dance in the church hall at Steppes on Friday for the unveiling of the honour roll by the Warden of Bothwell (Mr R. A. Ellis).
