Willunga RSL ClubroomsPrint Page
The clubrooms commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two.
The annual meeting of the Wiliunga branch of the R.S.L was held in the Parish Hall on Friday evening. All officers, were re-elected the same as in the previous year, with Mr. F. Havey as president and Mr. G. O'Connor secretary. Final plans for the erection of a club-room (which members have worked for since the last war) were made. It was decided to erect a prefabricated building with wooden outside walls, lined with another material, and cavity between. The main hall will be divided by sliding doors, one part for the use of R.S.L. members and the other portion for the CWA. A separate room will be added for the billiard table and also a small kitchen and cloak room. Mr. Blunt, contractor, of Adelaide, who provided plans, will erect the building. It is hoped that the building will be completed by Easter.
