Australia Remembers War MemorialPrint Page 

The Australia Remembers War Memorial commemorates Whyalla's contribution to the war effort through its shipyards, munitions, factory and pig iron production. It also commemorates men and women from Whyalla who enlisted in World War Two of which 29 lost their lives.
The memorial consists of two plaques, one is in sculptural form depicting Whyalla during World War Two.
"Australia Remembers, 1945-1995" was a program of activities organised by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
