Trentham & District Roll of Honour Print Page
The honour roll commemorates those from the District who served in World War Two.
Mounted beneath the honour roll is a brass plaque advising that the memorial was erected by Trentham Historical Society and was made possible by a grant from the Australia Remembers Committee.
It is a hand-lettered honour roll in calligraphy ink is mounted under glass with a polished timber frame. The honour roll is arranged in five columns. The first, second, fourth and fifth columns record the names of 197 men and women. The third central column features an illuminated panel surmounted by the Union Jack and Australian Flag, and records the names of 12 men who died on active service. These 12 names are also recorded in the four outer columns.
Note: The Trentham Mechanics Institute has been earmarked for redevelopment.
