Pomborneit North State School War MemorialPrint Page
The War Memorial commemorates former puils of the Pomborneit North State School who died in service or were killed in action during World War Two. The memorial is located at the site of the former school which is now a public hall.
A memorial flagpole with tablet in honor of ex-pupils of the Pomborneit North State school who were killed in the last war, was unveiled at the school, last Saturday afternoon by Mr. Keith McGarvie. Members of the V.D.C., ex-pupils and present-day scholars were among those who attended. Several wreaths were placed at the base of the memorial.
