Hay & District Honour RollPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates those from Hay and District who served in World War Two.
The School and the War: As you entered the hall tonight, you may have noticed at the foot of the stairs the Honour Roll for the war just ended. On it appears over 300 names, and of these 33 will not return. We offer our deepest sympathy to those parents and wives who have given their sons and husbands and pray that time may soften their great sorrow. I venture to say that few schools have a nobler record of service than this War Memorial School. On the material side this school has always supported patriotic and charitable organisations and, during the last two years has given directly £125 to patriotic fund.
