Dudley Public School Honour RollPrint Page Print this page

The honour roll commemorates former pupils of the school who served in World War Two.

A bronze plaque honour roll, inscribed with the names of 76 former boy and girl pupils who were members of the services during World War 11, was unveiled at Dudley school on Saturday, by Mr. H. L. Wheeler. The plaque was erected by Dudley Parents and Citizens' for £72, which was raised by functions held in the past four years. The plaque has been temporarily installed on the wall of the school verandah, but later it will be added to the 1914-18 honour rolls in the school's Hall of Memories. Mr. R. Perkins, a bugler in World War 1., sounded the Last Post and Reveille at the unveiling, which was attended by a number of R.S.L. sub-branch members, members of the women's services and representatives from the Red Cross and Boy Scouts.
