The honour roll commemorates those from Possum Creek who served in World War Two.
Empire Day celebrations at Possum Creek took the form of sports for the children and a basket picnic. An address was given by Rev. C. Saunders. At the sports each child received a packet of sweets and fruit. In the absence of the President, Mr. L. Reid presided. He referred to the death of Mr. W. F. Arnett, who had taken a very prominent part in all activities of Possum Creek. A vote of condolence to Mrs. Arnett and family was carried. The Teacher (Mr. C. Gordon) read Lord Gowrie's message., Flags were presented to each child. Mr. T. Brown and Rev. Saunders gave addresses. Messrs. A. Blewitt and H. Fowler unveiled the Honour Roll. Mr. J. Rodda moved a vote of thanks.
