Hillgrove Memorial Shield Print Page
The Memorial Shield was presented to the Hillgrove Rifle Club in 1947 in memory of those from the district who served in World War Two.
The Hillgrove Memorial Shield will be presented to the Hillgrove Rifle Club by the citizens of Hillgrove on Friday night next, October 31. The shield bears the name of 43 local men who served with the armed forces in the last war. Three men lost their lives. The shield will be open for perpetual competition by members of the Rifle Club. Mrs A. Martin, who lost a son in the war is the secretary of the movement.
