Orkabie & West Hill Roll of HonourPrint Page
The wooden honour roll commemorates those from Orkabie and West Hill who served in World War Two.
Orkabie and West Hill, Jan. 18.
Welcome rain has been recorded, but much more is needed to flood creeks and gullies. Farmers are working hard in an endeavor to get crops cultivated and out of hand before the heavy rains develop. Mr. C. W. Davidson, M.H.R., visited the district as the guest of his sister, Mrs. E. Johnson. An impressive ceremony in honor of the men who fought for us was performed in the local hall at the dedication of an honor board. Mr. A. T. Parnell performed the unveiling by removing the flag. Raymond Edwards, late of the R.A.A.F., spoke on behalf of his comrades.
