The wooden honour commemorates former students of the school who served in World War Two.

An Honor Roll, in honor of all past pupils of the Tyrendarra school serving with the forces of the 1939-45 war, will be unveiled at the Tyrendarra school at 1.30 p.m. on Friday next by Mr. R. W. Holt, M.L.A. The board has been presented to the school. by the committee and parents of the Tyrendarra State School, and all interested persons are invited to be present at the unveiling. Afternoon tea will be served at the conclusion of the ceremony.
