Traveston Honour Board
The unveiling of the Honor Board took place at the Traveston S.M. Hall last night. Although the night was stormy a good crowd was present and everything was in readiness for the occasion. People were present from all parts of the district. Mr Hill and Mr H Francis carried out the duties of M.C. Francis carried out the duties of M.C. Dancing and cards and speeches made the programme, musicians being Mrs. McVicar (piano), Steele Bros. (accordian), V.Johnson (mandolin).
The Chairman, Mr.T. Rees, after dancing being in progress for some time, called on Mr. G. Sykes, President of Gympie Sub-Branch R.S.S. I. L. A. who had been invited to propose the unveiling ceremony. After a fine speech he unveiled the board, and the roll was called. Mr Sykes was thanked for performing his duty in such a capable manner.
