Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially. In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Avenue of Honour Print Page

A number of trees commemorates those who served in World War One. It is believed that only three trees are still standing.
Two rows of trees were planted in the grounds of the Eldorado State School on the 21st July 1917 to commemorate and perpetuate the memories of the Eldorado Boys who had fought in World War One. The ceremony was attended by about 200 people.
