Invermichie & Munro State Schools Roll of HonourPrint Page
13-June-2005
Photographs supplied by Craig Moralee
The honour roll is a hand-inked roll on a pre-printed blank in English Gothic script and commemorates former students of the schools who enlisted in World War One.
During World War One, Invermichie State School closed and the building was re-erected at Munro State School.
There are a number of errors on the honour roll. The four top names were all teachers at the Invermichie or Munro School, but the name Jeffery is incorrectly spelt Jeffreys. The names Holly J. and Lobb R. J. are incorrect as it was their brothers, Holly G. T. and Lobb R. T. that enlisted.
