The marble honour roll commemorates those from the Shire who died in service or were killed in action in World War One.
At Maffra.
A new honor roll designed by Cr. S.P. Ashton will be unveiled by Padre Weir this afternoon at Maffra at 2.30 o'clock. The names of the district fallen in the Great War are inscribed upon it. The memoriall will be placed at the entrance to the Mechanics' Institute. Two granite pillars which have been erected at this entrance will also be dedicated to fallen soldiers.

This tablet and entrance pillars were dedicated by the Maffra Repatriation Committee as a memorial to those citizens of the Shire of Maffra who fell in the Great War
