Monbulla School Honour RollPrint Page
The brass honour roll commemorates former students of Monbulla School who served in World War One.
On Friday at the Monbulla school visiting day was held, and after the prizes had been presented by the Chairman (Mr. P. H. Kilsby), Mr. D. McKay, J.P., unveiled a roll of honor perpetuating the names of those who had been old scholars of the school and had gone to the war. The roll is a beautiful piece of work of burnished copper. The Chairman and Mr. C. Watkins also spoke, and patriotic songs were rendered by the children under the leadership of the headteacher (Miss Air), Mrs.G. Ricketts presiding at the piano. In the evening a social gathering of a successful character was held. The names on the roll are R. Marcus (killed), B. Marcus, L. Marcus, W. Marcus, J. Miller, M. Kilsby, E. Fennell, G. Childs, B. Souter. and H. D. Campbell.
