Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Coburg AOF Tent Honour RollPrint Page

The honour roll commemorates members of the Ancient Order of Foresters who served in World War One.
Note : Originating in England in the mid eighteenth century, Foresters Friendly Society began life as The Ancient Order of Foresters. The first recorded instance of a Foresters meeting being held was in Leeds in 1834. In Australia, the first branch of the Order (known as a Court) was established in Victoria in 1849.
Foresters was originally a non-profit organisation with a mission to provide financial and social support to members and their families in times of hardship.
