Coburg Harriers Club Roll of HonourPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates members of the club who served in World War One.
Brigadier-General Brand unveiled on Saturday night, at the Coburg town hall, an honor roll containing the names of 74 members of the local harriers' club who had enlisted, 22 of whom had been killed. Mr. A. T. Dredge, president of the club, presided, and the mayor, Cr. Campbell, and Cr. M'Donald, vice-president, were also present. Brigadier-General Brand said had unveiled many honor rolls, but none more creditable in the way of numbers than this, and none so remarkable in respect to the death percentage. Returned soldiers were welcomed by the president, Mr. R. Yorke and Cr. M'Donald. Responses were made by Brigadier-General H. W. Lloyd and others.
Age (Melbourne), 2 October 1919.
