The wooden honour roll commemorates those connected with the West Devonport Methodist Church who served in World War One. 

At the West Devonport Methodist Church last night, the eve of the fifth anniversary of Britain's declaration of war on Germany, the Rev. J. Williams unveiled an honor roll of church and Sunday School members who responded to the call of Empire. There was a crowded attendance, including a large number of returned soldiers. Rev. J. Williams gave a forceful and impressive address from the 11th chapter of the Epistle to the Hebrews, "Of whom the world is not worthy." He remarked that everything was changed, and the world was entering on a new age. He hoped it would not revert to the evil pre-war days in the way that London had gone back to slum conditions after the great fire, despite beautiful plans for reconstruction. It was with pride he unveiled the honor roll, during which ceremony the congregation remained standing.

The roll is of handsome design, bearing the inscription, "1914-18. For God, King and Country," and at the bottom, "Lest We Forget." The names are : L. L. Parry, P. W. Aspinall, C. M. Foster, T. W. Hiller presided at the organ.
