The wooden honour roll commemorates the members of the Federated Brick, Tile and Pottery Union of Australia (South Australia Branch) who served in World War One.
At the Temperance Hall, West Street, Brompton an honour roll of the Federated Brick, Tile and Pottery Union was unveiled by the Mayor of Hindmarsh, Mr F. King on the 17th March 1919. The mayor said that he was pleased to have the honor of performing the ceremony, and in referring to the fine spirit shown by the members of the union who answered the call he stated that 165 had enlisted and 38 had made the supreme sacrifice.
