Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

St Paul`s War Memorial TabletPrint Page

The marblet tablet was erected in memory of 12 members of the church who died in service or were killed in action during World War One.
The ceremony of unveiling the Honor Roll and Memorial Tablet of the Walcha Presbyterian Charge will take place in Walcha Church, on Sunday morning. The Honor Roll, of polished maple, containing the names of 61 soldiers and one nurse, will be unveiled by Mrs. Kilpatrick, wife of one of the elders, whose son Lieut. Albert, was killed in 1917. The tablet is of marble, and is in memory of the 12 soldiers of the Church who fell in action. Mrs. Kitcher, three of whose sons were killed, will perform the ceremony of unveiling.
